OK, I admit it. Maybe I’ve been too pessimistic. I know I’ve said the ranks of the long-term jobless continue to grow. I’ve also noted the fact that, based on past history, high levels of unemployment tend to linger for quite awhile in the wake of financial crisis-linked downturns.
